SY Cable | RS Components, 11/16/2011 · Personally I’d use SY where I needed protection but with a degree of flexibility. Being honest I don’t like the stuff but at times needs must. The correct glands are relatively expensive and finger rippers if not made off correctly.
11/27/2011 · It is great for connecting the large resistors we use for DC current sensing to remote operator panels as the small output around 50-75mV needs to be well screened but also has to survive. I don’t use it for much else other than temporary lighting setups. K.
