I enjoyed Itaewon class immenselly for what it was. I think you expected some sort of slice of life thing in which case Itaewon Class is not the right genre for you. All your suggestions on how you’d change the plot points might make sense for a different genre but Itaewon Class is first and foremost a business revenge story, the family elements are very classic and give purpose to the business side of things.
