On Walter V – Drive units, change the oil in the V – Drive per the instructions in the Walter Owners Manual. Use SAE 30 Motor Oil and fill to the proper level. Remove the attaching hardware from the propeller shaft coupling. Separate the flanges and coat the surfaces with Waterproof Marine Multipurpose grease. General Power Package Preparation, Lubricant – Indmar uses and recommends 15W40 Marine Oil for use in all of its engines except for the LS series engines which use Mobil 1 5W30 oil . If marine oil is not available, any appropriate viscosity motor oil meeting the API ratings of SL, CI-4 is acceptable. See Chapter 6, Maintenance, for information regarding the use of synthetic oil .

The tranny and v Drive are are the ones I am a little hesitant about. 2017 22 VLX with base 410 Engine oil : Mobile 1 5W 30 x 8 quarts Tranny: 2.3 quarts indmar ATF fluid V – drive : 1.2 quarts indmar synthetic transmission oil .
